Michael Morpurgo, before he was famous… Michael had been hired as a teacher. Eventually, he became knowledgeable that he had a talent at storytelling. He later said: “I could see there was magic in it for them, and realized it was magic in it for me.” Michael Morpurgo’s partner… Morpurgo’s inspiration was gathered from Ted Hughes (1930-1998), who later became his friend and neighbor. Morpurgo worked with Hughes to achieve the early steps of authority, managing to publish a story in the ‘Water’ collection. With Ted’s help, he had managed to be noted as “the master storyteller’’, including themes of adventure. Michael Morpurgo’s achievements: Michael Morpurgo had been already awarded 11 prizes for only half of his books! He had also been the third person to own the title as Children’s Laureate, 2003 – 2005. Fun Fact: Quentin Blake had been one of Michael Morpurgo’s illustrators! |
It was very interesting! Catherine.
